Alliance For Development (AFODE)
Alliance For Development-Uganda (AFODE-U) is an indigenous registered non-governmental organization under registration number NY/CBS/251/2021/2022 with the Kasese district local government community based department. The organization operates in the district of Kasese and was formed with a prime focus of enhancing peaceful coexistence and livelihoods among the communities to have their right to development.
Her formation was triggered by the growing appreciation that there has been considerably limited participation and support to the rural communities in development activities towards the implementation of sustainable development goals.

Currently AFODE is implementing acclimate change resilience project and a human rights promotion project, Implemented a women’s Rights promotion project with technical support from Uganda Ambassadors’ fund -DRC
Implemented a Beautification and Environmental Conservation Project with support from Canada African Community Health Alliance (3000 flowers and tree species planted)
Implemented care and support project to orphans(250 orphans supported) with support from civil society fund in partnership with NACWOLA
Implementing a Go-one light solar project with Barefoot Loan funded by Messics Foundation
Implementing soap production project funded by Kasese District Local Government
Implementing a clean energy Project with support from WWF (installed 1102solar and supplied 4240 energy saving cook stoves)
Implementing a briquette and Lorene stove making project with support from International Labor Organization
Trained 40 Human Rights Defenders in digital security with support from Defenders Protection Initiative.
Donors include World Wide Fund for nature, Confluence institute USA, Defenders protection initiative, National coalition for human rights defenders
