Rwenzori Information Centres Network (RIC-NET)
Rwenzori Information Centres Network (RICNET) is a network of information centres, right from village information points, to rural information centres at sub-counties and counties in all districts of the Rwenzori region, with membership of over a hundred CSO, active in the fields of humanitarian response, human rights and governance, conflict resolution, savings and credit, and sustainable livelihood.
RIC-NET is a hub of information and digital inclusion that converges ICT and social platforms to create a platform for voice, decision and action to all categories of people to accelerate community development and respond to humanitarian demands. It repackages and disseminates relevant information to rural community level. And it facilitates information flow from rural communities to local government centres, and vice-versa. RIC-NET uses communications channels as internet, radio, video, public notice boards and field shows.
